How to implement “Equal Height Blocks in Rows” jQuery in WordPress

In one of the website projects I am currently working on, client is using Easy Digital Downloads plugin which outputs list of products in a grid with 3 blocks per row. The problem is that each block has a different height due to the amount of content in it.

I wanted to find a way to calculate the height of tallest block in each row and set the height of every block in a row to that. A quick google search landed me on this article on css-tricks.

Here’s how jQuery code given in the above article can be incorporated in a WordPress site.

How to assign a layout to any MarketPress page in Builder

If you are using MarketPress e-commerce WordPress plugin by WPMU DEV in your site, you might have noticed that all plugin generated virtual pages like and single product pages use the Default layout. We can use builder_filter_current_layout filter to apply a specific layout to these MarketPress pages.

Add the following in child theme’s functions.php:

// ===============================================================
// = To apply a layout to any MarketPress generated virtual page =
// ===============================================================

function custom_filter_mp_shop_page_layout( $layout_id ) {
    if ( mp_is_shop_page() )
            return '5113bf00b974b';

    return $layout_id;
add_filter( 'builder_filter_current_layout', 'custom_filter_mp_shop_page_layout' );

where 5113bf00b974b is the ID of layout that you wish to apply to MarketPress pages.

If you wish to apply a layout to single product pages, if ( is_singular(‘product’) ) can be used.
